Locally Owned and Operated

Warrenton Cycling Center is locally-owned and operated. Our sister company, Drum & Strum Music Center, has been serving Fauquier County from its location in Old Town Warrenton since 1989. We look forward to continue serving you and the local community for a long time at Warrenton Cycling Center!

Tim Dingus - Owner

Tim brings a longtime passion for cycling with a wealth of retail experience. Tim and his family have owned and operated Drum and Strum Music Center, located in Old Town Warrenton since 1989. Drum and Strum has been serving musicians throughout the area as a source for instruments, service, and instruction.

Tim has been riding throughout Fauquier County for more than ten years. Whether he’s out on a training ride with friends, enjoying a mountain bike ride at Whitney State Forest, or traveling to ride in the Pyrenees of western France, Tim’s passion for cycling is evident and infectious.

Jesse Dent - Manager
Jesse, a native of Fauquier County, came back to Warrenton to open Warrenton Cycling Center with Tim in November 2007. After working as a networking specialist for the federal government, Jesse is enjoying this new outlet for his outgoing personality while relishing the unique opportunity to learn more about a range of bike-related disciplines including road riding, mountain biking, and BMX. As shop manager, Jesse oversees the day-to-day operations of the store, including interacting with customers and vendors.

This spring, Jesse attended the Specialized Bicycle Components University, a week-long training program for top Specialized dealers from around the world. Attendance at future courses, including Specialized "Masters" and Body Geometry Fitting Courses, is also in the works.

Rick Paulson - Service Manager
Rick Paulson is the head mechanic at the Warrenton Cycling Center. Rick, who started mountain biking in the late 1990's to help overcome a health challenge, has been Warrenton's go-to guy for bike repair since he served as shop mechanic at Ashby Street Bicycles. Always passionate about all things mechanical, Rick has brought his love of bikes out of his home workshop and back into a retail shop setting for the first time since 2000.

"Rick is a great guy to have in the shop and we love the atmosphere and professionalism he's helping to create at Warrenton Cycling Center," said Tim Dingus, owner of Warrenton Cycling Center. "No matter what type of bike you have, he's the guy to work on it and we're really happy that he's part of our team."

Rick's background in motocross racing and wrenching helped to develop his mountain biking skills and offered a natural progression to working on bicycles. Rick is also a talented bike fitter. No matter what type of riding you do, Rick can help set up the position of riders of all skill levels.

Rick's wife Vicki is also an avid cyclist and will be leading women's specific road and mountain biking rides from the shop throughout the season. Stop in and meet Rick and Vicki today!
